    We collect customer information such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, test results, booking details and travel declaration information (including customer address, post-code, NHS number, passport number, travel information). We gather this information from you during the booking process.

    What do we use your information for?

    Your information may be used in one of the following ways:

    • To send you email or SMS notifications about your appointments, including sending you your test results
    • To send you promotional emails about our services after you have given us your consent. You can unsubscribe to such emails at any time.
    • To report COVID-19 positive results and international arrivals to PHE and DHSC, as per government requirements.

    How do we protect your information?

    We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you enter, submit, or access your personal information. The database and all of our systems are protected by a network-level firewall. The database server is not exposed to the internet. All system backups are encrypted. All servers are kept up-to-date to ensure there are not exploitable vulnerabilities in place. Access to the servers and the database is granted only to authorized users. All communication with external and third-party services or entities that we use to conduct our business (handling payments, sending emails, managing appointments, laboratories) are encrypted with SSL/TLS or equivalent methods.

    What is our data retention policy?

    We will delete patient data and test results after a period of 10 years.  If you would like your data removed earlier you can email privacy@covid19healthclinics.com and the team will remove the data.

    What is a PCR Test?

    • A PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) test is an antigen test which detects  a virus’ genetic material (DNA/RNA) from a throat and nasal swab.
    • This is the “Gold Standard” COVID-19 test which is used by the NHS and other governments across the world.

    What is a Fit to fly Test?

    • A fit to fly certificate is a letter signed by a doctor registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and stamped by a Laboratory accredited with the Care Quality Commission and UKAS
    • The letter confirms that you tested negative for Covid-19 and are fit to fly and travel abroad.
    • A Government recognised COVID 19 PCR Test which confirms if you are currently infected with the virus
    • It gives the country of arrival when travelling confirmation that you are not infected with the virus
    • The sample is taken through nasal and throat and then sent to UKAS accredited recognised Laboratory for analysis 
    • The swab sample is analysed on a Government & Public Health England technology called the Gensiq RT-PCR

    What is a Day 2 and 8 Test?

    • All International arrivals to England must quarantine for 10 days
    • You must take a COVID-19 PCR test on or before day 2 (of quarantine period) and COVID0-19 PCR test on or after day 8 (of quarantine period)
    • If you arrive from RED LIST COUNTRY, you do not require day 2 and 8 test but must quarantine in UK Government “managed quarantine” services

    What is a Test to Release Test?

    •  All passengers arriving at UK must quarantine for 10 days on arrival.
    • Under Test to Release you can pay for a private COVID-19 PCR Test after 5 full days after arrival.
    • If the result is negative, you can end your quarantine.
    • If the result is positive, you must quarantine for another 10 days from the day you took the COVID-19 PCR test

    What is an Antigen Test?

    • A Government recognised COVID-19 Test which confirms if you are currently infected with the virus
    • Test involves just taking single nasal cavity swab and then placed into a special solution for virus detection.
    • The test works by detecting the presence of a protein called the N-Protein which is part of the SARS-CoV-2 virus
    • The swab sample then sent to our UKAS accredited recognised Laboratory for analysis

    What is an Antibody Test?

    • A Government recognised test to check if you’ve had coronavirus (COVID-19) by detecting antibodies as part of an immune response
    • Test involves a finger prick blood sample and then placed into a special solution for antibody detection
    • The test works by detecting the presence of the following antibodies produced against COVID-19:
      • IgG
      • IgM
    • The swab sample then sent to UKAS accredited recognised Laboratory for analysis

    What is the difference between a PCR and Antigen Test?

    • An antibody test detects if you have already had the virus by checking for the presence of COVID-19 antibodies in your immune system. 
    • An antigen test only detects if you are currently infected with the virus.

    What should I do it if I test positive?

    • If you test positive, you must self-isolate immediately as per Government Guidelines. 
    • Please contact the NHS on 111 if you have any underlying conditions and they will advise of what to do.

    How do I book a test?

    • You can book a test through our website www.covid19healthclinics.com

    How is the booking confirmation sent?

    Once you have made your booking, you will receive email confirmation of your test with a QR Code (which you can show when you arrive at the test centre)

    Do I require a QR Code?

    No, when you book your test, an email confirmation which you need to show at the test centre.

    When do I need to book a Fit to Fly test for flying?

      • We recommend you check with your travel agent or airline to ensure that is within the guidelines and regulations in your destination country
      • Normally we recommend that you undertake a test 72 hours before your flight departure to allow enough time for your results to be processes and sent to you.
      • We aim to deliver your results by 10pm the day AFTER your test at the test centre (in some cases, this can take up to 48 hours)

      Please ensure you book your test with these timelines to ensure you receive your results for your travel.

       

    Do I need to book Day 2 and 8 arrivals tests separately?

    No, COVID19 Health Clinics offer this test as a package.

    Can I book a Test to Release as part of the say arrivals package with Day 2 and 8?

    Yes, this can be booked separately with the Day 2 and 8 arrivals package.

    What happens if I test positive on Day 2 test?

    • In line with UK Government Guidelines, COVID19 Health Clinics will automatically cancel your day 8 (and Test to Release Test if you had booked the 3-test package)
    • You will not be able to receive a refund for the additional tests as positive samples require additional processing at the UKAS accredited Laboratory to check for COVID-19 variants.
    • If you have also booked a Test to Release test as part of your package and you test positive on this test, then your subsequent day 8 test will be cancelled
    • If you booked your Test to Release separately then your day 8 test will not be cancelled.

    Can I make changes to my bookings?

    • You can make changes to your booking if it is more than 72 hours ahead by visiting our make changes to my bookings page
    • You will not be able to make changes within 72 hours of your appointment unless:
      • Your flight has been cancelled within 72 hours
      • Government guidelines have changed
      • Guidelines in your destination country have changed
    • In this instance, we will issue a COVID19 Health Clinic voucher which can be redeemed at a later date to book another test at any of our locations for a period of 6 months from the date of the original test date (this can change subject to availability)

    Is there discount for children taking the test?

    No, all our test prices for adults and children are priced equally

    How can I pay for the test?

    When do I need to arrive for my test?

    • Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment
    •  Ensure you are wearing a mask or face covering
    •  Please make your way to the check-in desk for your appointment

    What Covid secure measures do our test centre have in place to ensure it is a safe environment for you to take your test?

    • All our test centres adhere to the highest standards of safety for our customers
    • We comply with very stringent Health & Protocols which our staff implement in the test centres
    • Full PPE is worn by all staff members and all surfaces are cleaned down with sanitisers between each appointment
    • Our test centres are cleaned down every evening once closed
    • We adopt a one-way system for all customers attending our test centres to ensure safe social distancing
    • We have clear instructions on our walls for our customers to guide them safely through our test centres

    What documentation do I need to bring with me?

    • Please bring the booking confirmation that was sent to your email address when you made the booking (printed copy or on your mobile phone)
    • If you booked a Fit to Fly certificate or Test to Release, please bring a valid passport or national ID card so we can authenticate your booking

    What checks are carried out prior to the test?

    • When you arrive at the test centre, the receptionist will take your temperature and then check you in for your appointment (again, please ensure that you are wearing a mask/face covering)
    • You will be asked if you have had any contact with anyone with COVID-19 symptoms over the last 10 days

    How are tests carried out on children?

    • Our staff are highly trained healthcare professionals who are experienced in taking swabs in children
    • We recognise that this is an unpleasant experience for a young child and will take all steps to ensure the test is carried out without any distress to the young children

    Are there toilets at the test centre?

    Sorry, there are no customer facilities in the test centres

    Will I test positive for COVID-19 on viral test after receiving a COVID 19 vaccine?
